my competition has finally ended, and i heard there's a uts one at the end of the month. gee.

alright, here i am, narrating my activities for the past few days.


SATURDAY
well, friday night was a house warming party at grace's house. there were close to 30 ppl coming. well, i was quite disappointed and embarrassed tht night. BUT, moving along, we headed down to nicole's rooftop for a cold and chilly part 2. it didn last very long as we all couldn tolerate the cold. party ended at bout 2, then it was homee. :)

woke up to have brunch/lunch before heading down to school at 2ish for my game. but, it wasnt till 6ish before i played my first game. partnered andrie for B mixed doubles. pretty screwed cause i dont really know how to play mixed doubles. like the running and the placing, etc etc. well, i was still learning and thankfully andrie didn really scold me even though we lost both our matches. he even thought me how to play mixed doubles, like the shots i should take and all. haha. the day ended at like 9ish. took a lift home from shelley and sarah.

i think i was pretty tired from all the waiting. PLUS, it was so cold yesterday, almost impossible to warm up. i think my shoulders are very stiff. i take so long to warm it up each time. tht's why everytime i start playing again, i'll first have to endure some pain. shucks. :( think this problem only surfaced in jc.


SUNDAY
was meant to wake up at 930, but knowing, i dragged it till 1130. haha. washed up and ate some breakfast before going heading down to school at 1. thankfully i didn reach later, cause while walking halfway, i received a msg from sarah saying our games were starting. : well, all the walking made me warm up a lil.

we started off with C ladies doubles with sarah. didn play too well for the first match. guess i was still in the midst of warming up. lost the first set 19-21, before giving our opponents a good 'trashing'. we were more prepared for the next few matches, and i was playing quite well at tht point of time. won all our remaining matches, thus topping the group and winning the C ladies doubles. not bad for my first competition with sarah!

Shelley: Shu Wen, congrats on winning the C doubles with my sister
Me: Thanks.
Shell: It was tough partnering my sister right?
Me: nah, it wasn't too bad. In fact, it went well.
Shell: No, you are supposed to say tht its tough, if not i would not have any excuse the next time i partner her.
HAHA.

following tht, partnered Arlo for C mixed doubles. we played the mixed style all the way. cause whenever we try to change over to normal doubles, somehow i'll forget how to run. i think its arlo tht makes me lost! haha. well, according to some pple, i didn even break a sweat in mixed cause it was arlo who did all the running. well, its not my fault! tht's how mixed is meant to be played. didn play too well for mixed tho. was a bit too tensed in front. missed lots of tap shots. but my net isnt too bad. HOWEVER, my service really suck like hell. shitified.

topped our group and met sarah and simon in the finals. it was so hilarious. sarah and simon were playing like a normal doubles pair. at first, arlo and i started out playing normally too. but after a few points, i was like, i cant do this. we have to revert back to mixed. and there we go. after every point simon won, he will be thanking either arlo or i (whoever gave the point away). it was more of a friendly match than a finals.

one of the rallies was such tht simon had to retrieve one of my net shots, and he fell to the ground after retrieving it. then it was left to arlo smashing an empty court with sarah defending. well, sarah returned the smash and arlo was left to finish the game with any return. guess wht? he hit it into the net. HAHA. i was like???? drop my racket on the floor and started laughing, arlo was lying flat on the ground. with simon and sarah both laughing at wht happened. its cause the rally is pretty long, and in between the exchange between arlo and simon, i could hear simon breathing so HARD. but i couldn laugh in between the match. the way simon breathed was so funny. :D

anw, arlo and i won on points. so here i am, C mixed doubles champion too. not bad on my first competition here, and after less than 2 weeks of touching the racket. :)

went for dinner with a big group of us. went to pinangsia to eat. was so full after tht. and then, they still thought of heading for some ice-cream. well, as long as i have a ride home, i dont mind. :) so off we went, to leichhardt for ice-cream at bar italia. the ice-cream was good. cracked so many jokes there! and i've officially self-invited myself to joksin's birthday party on saturday. haha. the funniest part was when sharon went to the toilet and arlo hid her wallet. we spent so much time laughing. it was awesome. :) i think sharon teared quite a bit. then we had a mini race on the roads. sharon's such a fierce driver. not bad for someone who is a month younger than me!! and i have yet to seat for my theory test. embarrassing! :/

well, it was homee for me on andrie's car. reached home at 11ish. bathed and started on my capital markets. finished it and therefore, i have the time to blog. going offline to sleep!!
